Trent Martens

Remember the days of ICQ and Napster? The good old days when we had to make sure our room mates didn’t pick up the phone when we were on the internet? It was during this golden age of the internet that I began my career in the silicone valley, working in the CRM software industry. Shortly after, I started a digital agency in Calgary, Alberta with some colleagues called Suitcase Interactive. As co-founder and Creative Director, I was fortunate enough to spend that first decade of my career providing digital solutions for some of Canada's premium brands such as Westjet, Shaw, Puma, Mark’s Work Warehouse, United Way, Michaels and Sport Chek. In 2013 I started on my path as a Freelance Creative. I’ve since been fortunate to provide creative solutions for brands as Harley Davidson, Zappos, Showtime, Speck, UCLA and Keurig. Recognition through the Anvil Awards, Digital Alberta and the DMAA has driven me to continue to push myself in my creative output.

As much as the big board rooms keep me on my toes, I also equally enjoy working with tech start ups and entrepreneurs. Aligning the worlds of brand, marketing and technology is an exciting place to be.
